We are confident that you are aware that buying and selling of Antiques, Vintage and Retro pieces/items is one of the oldest forms of recycling there is. People for centuries have been   buying, selling and passing on items that are collectable, decorative or of household use and are valued because of their age, rather than throw them away .Despite this some items may be damaged or have gone out of fashion as we move through this modern age of development and technology at a very fast pace.

 

The business aim of WeLoveItShop:

Is to make use of and Upcycle/Re-Purpose/Re-Love Vintage, Retro and Antique items that have lost their sparkle or are out of vogue/trend.  Through this process (marrying the contemporary with items from times past) we can design and produce bespoke and one-off furniture pieces/items.  In adding our ‘funk’ we are keeping items out of the ever growing problem of the waste cycle and associated environmental issues.

 

As with all our Funky pieces there are no two the same!

 

A little Information:

We are always delighted to provide as much help and information as we can, including further pictures of items where you have serious interest and might just like to make absolutely certain, prior to committing to buy.

 

We find that through our processes, especially given the uncontrolled temperature of our workplace (an old bakery building), they often swell and shrink as wood etc does.  You might find that 'sticky' drawers, drawers require some attention from you...although allow time for the item to stabilise in its new environment before you do anything to it.  Its really nothing to worry about, make Google your friend in these rare instances………

………………….Here's some guidance we've 'pinched' (there really is loads of it out there!):

 

 "Upon moving it into my new place, I realized something was horribly, horribly wrong—none of the drawers seemed to fit quite right anymore. The combination of the differences in temperature and humidity caused them to swell and change shape. Couple of weeks later, they fit better, but they still don't slide in and out as easily as they used to. One of the most popular household items that helps with sticky drawers is a regular paraffin or beeswax candle. Just rub it against all the areas of the drawer where there's friction when you open and close it, especially on the tracks and around the outside edges. If all you've got is a tea light, you can take it out of the little metal cup and then use it.  Wax paper is most commonly associated with food preparation, but it's coated in paraffin, so it will leave a thin layer of wax on wood. It works best if you fold it in half a few times before using it; otherwise it's too easy to tear.  Another option that most people have lying around is a bar of soap. Just give the bottom of the drawer a good coat (preferably a scent you don't mind smelling often!)".....

ALL deliveries must be viewed as a ‘One Man’ Service.  This means you must arrange to off-load your order and move it to where you want it.  Any requirements outside of the ‘One Man’ service must be notified and agreed prior to your shipment leaving us. We are happy to announce that we now have relationships with reliable courier companies and are publishing prices on many of our listings.  These prices are based on the Volume of the items.  Whilst we endeavour to be as accurate as possible it is not always possible (we're only human!).  Therefore in the rare occurrence of errors, we will let you know, the revised/correct costs.  Generally, there are surcharges applicable:  E.g. Congestion Charges Central London; Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle Of Man & Isles of Scilly.

 

Customers are welcome to organise their own courier if they so wish. Please enquire for details.

 

Turnaround Times:

Very much dependent on the Item(s) purchased, usually within 7-14 Days (or less) from point of order.

 

 

 

When The Unexpected Happens:

Despite our best efforts things may occasionally go wrong.  In the unlikely event that a delivery arrives and is damaged, or even less likely, doesn’t arrive at all (lost), we want it to be as easy as possible to find out what’s happened and seek satisfactory  resolution and perhaps compensation if appropriate.  To this end, we ask that you work with us (help us to help you) in meeting the Delivery Companies requirements, such as:

 

·        For DAMAGE claims you must take digital photographs of the damaged item and packaging.  You should send these to us via Etsy Conversation/Message facility along with all further information, which we can forward to the Delivery Company.  Please keep ALL packaging, for possible inspection.  You will receive a questionnaire document directly from the Delivery Company which must be completed and returned to them within their specified timescales.  It will ask you to confirm that the item/goods were well packaged and confirm other relevant details.   

 

·        For LOSS claims you will be required to complete a legal declaration, issued by the Delivery Company, within a specified timescale, stating that you have not received the item/goods. 

 

 

 

Refunds and Exchanges:

Please contact us, directly, within 3 days (from delivery) if you wish to Return an Item.  We can arrange collection and advise you of the cost and offer guidance on packaging.  Once the item is received by us in perfect, unused, resalable condition we will Refund within 14 days.  We are unable to Refund ANY Delivery/Packaging Charges.

Where decals are used they are for decorative purposes and may peel or come away from furniture over time. We do not offer any compensation or repairs for decals. These items are most suited to "low traffic" areas in the home. In the rare occurrence something like this happens, think of it as an opportunity to add ‘your own thing’ to the item….Get Creative yourself?!!

    For sale vintage Myers bunk beds. The have original spring bases with side rails on top bunk and ladder. It has been up graded by hand painting the frame in various colours (chalk paint). It can be used as two separate single beds
    Myers have been producing beds since 1876 and are still operating today.

    In total 67 copies of the Cycling Magazine described as “the leading cycling journal of the world” above is the year and number of copies available. It includes the 1891/1941 Jubilee copy. These are of significant importance as they were produced when The UK was under the threat of German invasion. As a magazine they are of social historical importance. They contain adverts, Considering they are printed on poor Club results/ events, tours etc. A lot of the articles are of relevance today. They are in reasonable condition,considering they are printed on poor quality paper due to the war effort,except one which has no cover but still readable. They are presented in individual plastic wallets to help preserve the. Staples show some rusting and there is some foxing.
    The original owner was a member of the Fleet Air Arm and I can only assume the collection ceased in 1941 due to him being on active service.

    We find that through our processes, especially given the uncontrolled temperature of our workplace (an old bakery building), they often swell and shrink as wood etc does. You might find that ‘sticky’ drawers, drawers require some attention from you…although allow time for the item to stabilise in its new environment before you do anything to it. Its really nothing to worry about, make Google your friend in these rare instances………
    ………………….Here’s some guidance we’ve ‘pinched’ (there really is loads of it out there!):

    “Upon moving it into my new place, I realized something was horribly, horribly wrong—none of the drawers seemed to fit quite right anymore. The combination of the differences in temperature and humidity caused them to swell and change shape. Couple of weeks later, they fit better, but they still don’t slide in and out as easily as they used to. One of the most popular household items that helps with sticky drawers is a regular paraffin or beeswax candle. Just rub it against all the areas of the drawer where there’s friction when you open and close it, especially on the tracks and around the outside edges. If all you’ve got is a tea light, you can take it out of the little metal cup and then use it. Wax paper is most commonly associated with food preparation, but it’s coated in paraffin, so it will leave a thin layer of wax on wood. It works best if you fold it in half a few times before using it; otherwise it’s too easy to tear. Another option that most people have lying around is a bar of soap. Just give the bottom of the drawer a good coat (preferably a scent you don’t mind smelling often!)”…..

People for centuries have been buying, selling and passing on items that are collectable, decorative or of household use and are valued because of their age, rather than throw them away .Despite this some items may be damaged or have gone out of fashion as we move through this modern age of development and technology at a very fast pace.

    The business aim of WeLoveItShop:
    is to make use of and upcycle antique,
    vintage and Retro items that have lost their sparkle or are out of vogue/trend. Through this process (marrying the contemporary with items from times past) we can design and produce bespoke and one-off furniture pieces/items. By doing this we are keeping items out of the ever growing problem of the waste cycle and associated environmental issues.

    As with all our vintage pieces there are no two the same!

    We are also delighted to provide as much help and information as we can, including further pictures of items where you have serious interest, but would just like to make absolutely certain prior to commiting to buy.

    We will also list some items that we have not yet worked on, so that you might like to aquire them and put your passions, interests, flair (and alot of love!) into them yoursleves., either as a one off project or, perhaps, the start of something you might grow into your own business. Enquires to this end are welcomed.

    Delivery Details:
    Delivery to UK only. Non UK buyers please get in touch for a quote. If you are in the Nottinghamshires area and would prefer to collect please get in touch.

    Refunds and Exchanges:
    If you are not happy with your item please contact us directly and return the item within 3 days after delivery. Once the item has been received by us in perfect unused condition we will then refund within 14 days. We are unable to refund any return postage and packaging costs involved unless the item is faulty for the UK and we are unable to refund any postage internationally unless the item is faulty.
    Iems retruned from anywhere as faulty, and found not to be will be returned to the buyer at the buyer expense.

    Bespoke products are non -refundable unless faulty.

    Custom orders require a deposit to be paid prior to work commencing . Full payment for custom orders must be completed prior to delivery otherwise the courier will not deliver. We will not be responsible for a repeat delivery courier cost if this should happen.

    It is not possible to cancel custom orders once work has commenced and full payment is required in such circumstances.

    Custom orders vary in production time and every effort will be made to keep you updated on the progress of your order. Dispatch dates are given as estimation but these may vary. The Courier runs regular routes at regular intervals (Weekly, Two Weekly & Three Weekly, Generally). We will ensure to confirm prior to dispatch the day to expect your delivery, and the drivers will do their best to inform you, on Route, of progress.

    All items are delivered to your Etsy address. If this address is not correct, please Contact us with the correct information.

    Rates:
    The shipping rate is set to £0.00 as courier costs vary depending on your location. Please message us with your postcode for a no obligation quote if you are interested in an item. Mainland UK delivery only. Courier charges vary from £30-£90 on average depending on your locality and size of the item. The Courier Service must be viewed as a ‘One Man’ Service. This means you must arrange to off-load your order and move it to where you want it. The Drivers are happy to help where they can, however to keep costs down, they are multi-drop and must get off to their next delivery. Any requirements outside of the ‘One Man’ service must be notified and agreed prior to your shipment leaving us.

    Turnaround Times:
    Although we make every effort to deliver as soon as possible we use a third party courier service and delivery may take longer during busy periods. The delivery times given are estimations but we endeavour to deliver as soon as possible. The courier should contact you to arrange a delivery time that suits.

    We do not have any responsibility for issues with delivery once the item has been dispatched. These issues must be dealt with between the customer and the courier directly. Your dispatch notification indicates that your item has left us and any further arrangements need to be made via the courier directly. Customers are welcome to organise their own courier if they so wish.

    Where decals are used they are for decorative purposes and may peel or come away from furniture over time. We do not offer any compensation or repairs for decals. These items are most suited to “low traffic” areas in the home.
