    Welcome to WeLoveItShop:
We are confident that you are aware that buying and selling of Antiques, Vintage and Retro pieces/items is one of the oldest forms of recycling there is. People for centuries have been buying, selling and passing on items that are collectable, decorative or of household use and are valued because of their age, rather than throw them away .Despite this some items may be damaged or have gone out of fashion as we move through this modern age of development and technology at a very fast pace.

    The business aim of WeLoveItShop:
Is to make use of and Upcycle/Re-Purpose/Re-Love Vintage, Retro and Antique items that have lost their sparkle or are out of vogue/trend. Through this process (marrying the contemporary with items from times past) we can design and produce bespoke and one-off furniture pieces/items. In adding our ‘funk’ we are keeping items out of the ever growing problem of the waste cycle and associated environmental issues.

As with all our Funky pieces there are no two the same!

    A little Information:
We are always delighted to provide as much help and information as we can, including further pictures of items where you have serious interest and might just like to make absolutely certain, prior to committing to buy.

We find that through our processes, especially given the uncontrolled temperature of our workplace (an old bakery building), they often swell and shrink as wood etc does. You might find that ‘sticky’ drawers, drawers require some attention from you…although allow time for the item to stabilise in its new environment before you do anything to it. Its really nothing to worry about, make Google your friend in these rare instances………
………………….Here’s some guidance we’ve ‘pinched’ (there really is loads of it out there!):

“Upon moving it into my new place, I realized something was horribly, horribly wrong—none of the drawers seemed to fit quite right anymore. The combination of the differences in temperature and humidity caused them to swell and change shape. Couple of weeks later, they fit better, but they still don’t slide in and out as easily as they used to. One of the most popular household items that helps with sticky drawers is a regular paraffin or beeswax candle. Just rub it against all the areas of the drawer where there’s friction when you open and close it, especially on the tracks and around the outside edges. If all you’ve got is a tea light, you can take it out of the little metal cup and then use it. Wax paper is most commonly associated with food preparation, but it’s coated in paraffin, so it will leave a thin layer of wax on wood. It works best if you fold it in half a few times before using it; otherwise it’s too easy to tear. Another option that most people have lying around is a bar of soap. Just give the bottom of the drawer a good coat (preferably a scent you don’t mind smelling often!)”…..
………………So there you go…Easy?!!” (**Many thanks to the author of this…………wasn’t us ;-))

We will also list some items that we have not yet worked on, so that you might like to acquire them and put your passions, interests, flair (and a lot of love & your Funk!) into them yourselves…….One off projects or the start of something you might grow into your own business? Enquires to this end are welcomed. 😉

We hope you enjoy looking around our shop and we see you again soon.

    When The Unexpected Happens:
Despite our best efforts things may occasionally go wrong. In the unlikely event that a delivery arrives and is damaged, or even less likely, doesn’t arrive at all (lost), we want it to be as easy as possible to find out what’s happened and seek satisfactory resolution and perhaps compensation if appropriate. To this end, we ask that you work with us (help us to help you) in meeting the Delivery Companies requirements, such as:

    • For DAMAGE claims you must take digital photographs of the damaged item and packaging. You should send these to us via Etsy Conversation/Message facility along with all further information, which we can forward to the Delivery Company. Please keep ALL packaging, for possible inspection. You will receive a questionnaire document directly from the Delivery Company which must be completed and returned to them within their specified timescales. It will ask you to confirm that the item/goods were well packaged and confirm other relevant details.

    • For LOSS claims you will be required to complete a legal declaration, issued by the Delivery Company, within a specified timescale, stating that you have not received the item/goods.

    Refunds and Exchanges:
Please contact us, directly, within 3 days (from delivery) if you wish to Return an Item. We can arrange collection and advise you of the cost and offer guidance on packaging. Once the item is received by us in perfect, unused, resalable condition we will Refund within 14 days. We are unable to Refund ANY Delivery/Packaging Charges.

If you can’t find exactly what you had in mind please contact us as we may have something suitable that we are currently working on, or still to start. Please contact us with any queries and we will respond as quickly as we can.

Please be aware that as the pieces reclaimed are of (often substantial) age, their condition is not “faultless” or mass produced in appearance. They bear hallmarks of their age and this is part if their charm. If you are unsure about an item please contact us for more images prior to purchase.

Where decals are used they are for decorative purposes and may peel or come away from furniture over time. We do not offer any compensation or repairs for decals. These items are most suited to “low traffic” areas in the home. In the rare occurrence something like this happens, think of it as an opportunity to add ‘your own thing’ to the item….Get Creative yourself?!!

It uses an electronically controlled, electromagnet horizontal cloth focal plane shutter, with a speed range of 2 to 1/1000 second plus Bulb and flash X-sync of 1/60th second. • Olympus Trip 35 Vintage Film Camera with Zuiko 40mm f2.8 Lens With New Blue Skin

he Trip 35 is a 35mm compact camera, manufactured by Olympus. It was introduced in 1967 and discontinued, after a lengthy production run, in 1984. The Trip name was a reference to its intended market – people who wanted a compact, functional camera for holidays. During the 1970s, it was the subject of an advertising campaign that featured popular British photographer David Bailey. Over ten million units were sold.[1]

The Trip 35 was a point and shoot model with a 40mm f2.8 lens, solar-powered selenium light meter, and just two shutter speeds. In ‘A’ mode, the camera operated as a Program automatic, choosing either 1/40th sec or 1/200th sec. The camera could also sync with flash, and had a range of aperture settings, from f2.8 to f22. In flash sync mode, the shutter was set at 1/40. Apart from a simple four-position zone focus system, and an ISO setting from 25–400,[2] the camera had no other photographic controls. The camera had a Prontor-Compur sync connector and a hot shoe. Its lens was a coated Zuiko 40mm f/2.8, with four elements in three groups.

The camera had an ISO range of “only” 25–400, but this was acceptable, as films faster than 400 were uncommon and not of high image quality. 25 speed allowed the use of Kodachrome, while 400 speed allowed use of Tri-X and similar fast materials under low light.

Earlier models, from the first few years of production, had a maximum ISO speed of 200.

The four-element Zuiko (probably Tessar-style) lens, still impressive today, gave high-quality images. If used with modern film emulsions, the results can be very good.

The use of a selenium photocell to select the shutter speeds and aperture let novices use the camera as a “point & shoot”, with good results obtained most of the time. And no battery was needed to power the camera, an important consideration when travelling where batteries might not be available.

The lack of more than two shutter speeds was not a problem. At 1/200 and f:22 with 400-speed film, the camera could deliver correct exposure in full sunlight, while at 1/40 and f:2.8, correct exposure could be obtained under bright fluorescent light, without a flash.

The aperture could also be adjusted to cope with sunny/dull conditions etc., so again this allowed for better results, but in low light conditions, with perhaps a smallish aperture (for long depth of field), the camera would probably set itself to the lower speed of 1/40th, so camera shake was a possibility if higher-speed film was not used.

  • Samsung Fino 70s 35mm Film Camera Point and Shoot

The Samsung Fino 70s is an advanced 35mm point-and-shoot film camera. It offers a number of features not typically found in a camera at this price point. It is very compact, well-built, capable of intense zoom, and has an excellent lens that’s capable of taking incredible photos.

The zoom lens offers focal lengths in a 38-70mm range, making this an excellent camera for nearly all types of photography. The aspherical lens elements and extra low dispersion glass combine with variable apertures ensure very sharp images. An advanvced autofocus system allows simple, intuitive focus on subjects even when not in the center of the frame.

An excellent auto-focus system handles focusing with ease, and the versatile flash offers multiple modes including Auto flash, Fill flash, Red eye reduction mode, and Flash off.

  • Nikon F 35mm Film Camera with Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 Lens with Eye Level Prism Finder Head

The Nikon F camera, introduced in April 1959,[1] was Nikon’s first SLR camera.[2] It was one of the most advanced cameras of its day. Although many of the concepts had already been introduced elsewhere, it was revolutionary in that it was the first to combine them all in one camera.[3] It was produced until October 1973 and was replaced by the Nikon F2. Aspects of its design remain in all of Nikon’s subsequent SLR cameras, through the current Nikon F6 film and Nikon D5 digital models (which still share its Nikon F-mount for lenses). The “F” in Nikon F was selected from the term “re-f-lex”, since the pronunciation of the first letter “R” is not available in many Asian languages.[4] That tradition was carried all the way through their top line of Nikon cameras until the introduction of the Nikon D1 (digital) cameras decades later.

Specially modified Nikon F cameras were used in space in the early 1970s aboard the Skylab space station

The Nikon F was enormously successful and showed the superiority of the SLR and of the Japanese camera manufacturers. It was the first SLR system to be adopted and used seriously by the general population of professional photographers, especially by those photographers covering the Vietnam War, and those news photographers using motor-driven Nikon Fs with 250-exposure backs to record the various launches of the space capsules in the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space programs, all in the 1960s. After the introduction of the Nikon F, the more expensive rangefinder cameras (those with focal plane shutters) became less attractive. It was originally priced at US$186 with 50 mm f/2 lens; in November 1963 the US price was $233 for the body with a standard prism plus $90 for the 50 mm f/2 lens or $155 for the 50 mm f/1.4.

A combination of design elements made the Nikon F successful. It had interchangeable prisms and focusing screens; the camera had a depth-of-field preview button; the mirror had lock-up capability; it had a large bayonet mount and a large lens release button; a single-stroke ratcheted film advance lever; a titanium-foil focal plane shutter; various types of flash synchronization; a rapid rewind lever; a fully removable back. It was well-made, durable, and adhered closely to the successful design scheme of the Nikon rangefinder cameras.

  • Vintage blue green floral fitted sleeveless dress by Kloster Kjoler | 1960s-70s | Made in Denmark

This vintage gem dates from around the 1960s-70s.
A beautiful dress in a sheer blue green floral swirl print fabric overlaying a blue satin type lining with a draped neckline and decorative attached matching scarf which drapes beautifully from one shoulder.
Made in Denmark by Kloster Kjoler.
Zip fastening to the back. The condition of this dress is very good. It looks as though the hem length may have been altered at some stage and the stitching is quite loose in places. Due to the sheer delicate nature of the fabric and age of this dress there are some minute little holes which I only spotted when held up to the light so not noticeable until close inspection due to the pattern. I have priced accordingly and tried to show the most obvious in photos. Still a gorgeous retro style dress for a special occasion, cocktail party, garden party or vintage event.
Fabric unknown: feels like sheer fabric over a satin type lining

Approx size UK 12 but please check measurements below:

    Chest armpit to armpit 18″
    Waist 30″
Length from back of neck to hemline 37″
